Christine F. Kollmorgen, M.D., F.A.C.S.
A compassionate stickler for details, Dr. Kollmorgen wants every patient to feel heard and understood. Trusted by patients and colleagues alike, her goal is to provide the best possible care and kindness when patients need it most. Her special clinical interests include breast and endocrine surgery, as well as comprehensive surgical care and patient shared decision making. She has privileges at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, Day Surgery at RiverBend and McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center.
Born and raised in the greater Boston area, Dr. Kollmorgen moved to Eugene with her family in 1998. She received a Bachelor of Arts in biology at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and completed medical school at Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. She spent six years at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she completed her residency training in general surgery, was a laparoscopic research fellow and served as an associate professor of surgery.

Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Kollmorgen is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of Lane County Medical Society, Oregon Medical Association, American Society of Breast Surgeons, American Society of Breast Disease and Mayo Clinic Priestly Society. An associate professor of surgery at Oregon Health and Science University, she serves as chairwoman of the Northwest Specialty Clinics Board and is past chief of surgery at Sacred Heart Medical Center. She has published extensively on advanced laparoscopic surgery, colon, rectal, breast and endocrine surgery.

In her free time, Dr. Kollmorgen enjoys everything the outdoors have to offer, especially skiing and water sports.
As a philanthropist, she cares about her community and gets involved whenever possible. Some of the many organizations she supports include Oregon Cancer Foundation, Positive Community Kitchen, Children’s Tumor Foundation, and Susan G. Komen, as well as O’Hara and Marist schools and others.
