Paul M. Schumacher, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Paul Schumacher grew up in the Southwest. After completing his medical education and residency training, he joined Northwest Surgical Specialists in August 2008. He specializes in the comprehensive management of vascular disease.

Dr. Schumacher is Board Certified in Surgery. His practice emphasizes the traditional and endovascular management of the spectrum of vascular disorders, including arterial and venous diseases. He has particular interest in cerebrovascular disease, open and endovascular treatment of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, and the management of chronic extremity ischemia, particularly utilizing modern minimally-invasive revascularization techniques. He has extensive experience in the management of superficial and deep venous disorders, including superficial venous ablation, catheter-directed thrombolysis, and venous angioplasty and stenting. He has published on various topics in vascular and general surgery. He is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).

Dr. Schumacher is married and shares two children with his wife. He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including skiing, cycling, and travel with family.
